Osteoarthritis and Joint Degeneration

Active clinical management for degenerative joint changes in the spine and extremities, focusing on joint decompression, mobility preservation, and progressive capacity building.

Phase 1: Mechanical Decompression and Fluid Flow

Degenerative joints require movement to synthesize synovial fluid. We apply gentle, targeted Chiropractic Adjustments and low-velocity traction mechanics to separate restricted joint surfaces, reducing mechanical stress and easing local stiffness.

Phase 2: Release Compensatory Soft Tissue Splinting

When a joint loses space, the surrounding muscles lock up to artificially stabilize the region, accelerating joint compression. We use precise Myofascial Release & Soft Tissue Therapy (ART) to safely clear this chronic muscle guarding without stressing the capsule.

Phase 3: Disrupt Periarticular Fibrosis

Chronic degeneration results in thick, non-elastic scar tissue around the joint margins. We utilize specialized Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) to break down these dense fascial boundaries and improve tissue elasticity.

Phase 4: Progressive Joint Loading Mechanics

To protect the joint cartilage long-term, we deploy decompression Kinesiology Taping paired with a Custom Exercise Therapy & Rehab plan focused on progressive, low-impact loading strategies to strengthen the surrounding muscular brace.
