Piriformis Syndrome

Clinical decompression for deep gluteal nerve entrapment, resolving localized buttock pain and referred sciatic nerve irritation down the leg.

Phase 1: Balance Pelvic Ring Mechanics

A dysfunctional pelvis forces deep gluteal structures into a shortened state. We utilize targeted Chiropractic Adjustments to the sacroiliac joints and lumbar spine to eliminate baseline mechanical twisting.

Phase 2: Decompress the Sciatic Pathway

Nerves become mechanically trapped at specific myofascial interfaces. We apply specialized Myofascial Release & Soft Tissue Therapy (ART) directly to the hypertonic piriformis muscle fibers, releasing its mechanical grip on the underlying nerve.

Phase 3: Fascial Remodeling and Sciatic Nerve Gliding

Once structural and muscular compression is removed, we employ targeted Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) across the deep external hip rotators to break down dense fascial restrictions and reset local pain pathways. Once cleared, we integrate precise Clinical Neurodynamics & Nerve Mobilization protocols to gently glide the tethered sciatic nerve through the newly opened pathways, reducing neural inflammation and restoring essential blood flow.

Phase 4: Gluteal Activation and Postural Control

To prevent the hip from collapsing inward during walking, we build a Custom Exercise Therapy & Rehab program focusing on gluteus maximus coordination and eccentric hip rotational control.
